Beer: Space Goose Hazy IPA

Space Goose Hazy India Pale Ale by Bentonville Brewing Company is an amazing beer. As the label says, it’s got a citrus nose, sweet fruity taste, and I think it goes down very smooth.

I like the aromatics of this beer. I’m finding that a good beer has a nose like a good wine does. Whether it comes from the tap, a bottle, or a can, take the time to smell its bouquet before you take a first sip. Let the taste linger on your tongue and in your mouth. Pay attention to the after taste, the tail, after you swallow.

I’m relatively new to IPA so I’m trying as many as I can. It occurred to me that I should talk about these on my blog like I do TV shows, movies, and books. I’d always thought IPA was too “hoppy” for my taste, but it really reminds me of Blue Moon, a Belgian White Ale.

From the brewer:

A daring take on a New England IPA, and more!

The nose smacks of tropical citrus notes. The taste whacks of passion fruit, guava, and pineapple.

It’s creamy, zingy, and wows the taste buds! Pleasantly tangy, lusciously cloudy, and thoroughly pleasing. It’s weird. It’s wonderful, and whacky enough to expand the limits of expectation – beyond the clouds and off to the cosmos!
