I’m a fan of Westerns done right and this one hit the nail on the head. Nicholas Cage sets out to seek revenge for the brutal murder of his wife. Along the way, he bonds with his daughter, and they realize they’re very much alike.
The plot is well thought out and the story makes sense. The overall plot comes full circle with the ending of the movie. Killing begets killing. The only question left unanswered is whether his daughter will follow in his footsteps or go home and mind the family story by herself.
I thoroughly loved every minute of this picture and highly recommend.
