Beer: Roundabout Mocha Stout

We tried out Bentonville Brewing’s Roundabout Mocha Stout last night. Bentonville Brewing Co. is a local brewery located in Bentonville, Arkansas.

This one is a collaboration between Bentonville Brewing, Hello Cocoa, and Airship coffee, all local businesses. I haven’t found their Roundabout Chocolate Milk Stout, but this beer is based on that one with the addition of coffee.

This is a very rich, creamy, dark beer. The coffee and chocolate flavors are front and center. It’s not very bitter at 23 IBU and I believe that’s because of the sweetness of the chocolate. It’s also got a lower ABV at 6.3% so it won’t knock you on your ass.

It was a little pricy at $13 for a six-pack of cans, but I’d definitely buy this one again. I’ll have to try to find it again since it’s a limited run. We can only hope that it’s popular enough for them to do another batch of it.

From the brewery:

The same roundabout chocolate milk stout that you know and love but with the addition of coffee from our friends at Airship. It’s a three way local Bentonville Collaboration and we can’t get enough. Enjoy this silky smooth stout while you can!
